- You can purchase a soft travel bag online, we personally like EVOC Bags.
Hard Travel Case
- You can purchase a hard travel case online, we personally like the B&W Bike Box.
Maximum Dimensions & Weight
- The maximum dimensions must be less than 165 inches using the formula L + (2xW) + (2xH):
1) Take the longest side (L).
2) Add the width twice (2xW).
3) Add the height twice (2xH).
4) Add those three numbers together, the total must be less than 165 in (419 cm).
If it’s more, the package is too big to ship within the US and will incur a oversize fee of $1,450 USD. - Maximum weight is 150 lbs.
2. Prepare & Pack Bike

- 4) Secure wheels with wheel bags.
- 5) Place everything in the packaging makings sure it does not have much space to move around during transit.
3. Print Labels
- MOST IMPORTANT: Print Two Labels: One should go inside the bag/case/box as a backup, and the other should be attached to the outside.
- Attaching the External Label:
- Box: Affix the label to the upper side of the box. Use clear packaging tape to cover the entire label, ensuring it’s securely laminated to the box.
- Hard Case: Attach the label using a shipping luggage tag. You can also tape the label to the upper area of the hard case. Secure with a zip tie through the luggage tag at the top handle.
- Soft Case: Use a shipping luggage tag and zip tie it to the top handle. Avoid taping directly to the canvas or soft cloth area of the bag.
- Many carrier stores offer boxes, packing sleeves, and luggage ties with zip ties. They can also print the labels for you, when you are dropping off the packaged bike.
4. Bike Shops Can Help
Most bike shops offer packaging disassembly and assembly for a fee. It’s a good idea to visit one of these stores if you require extra help.
